During a study trip to Georgia, I became acquainted with the traditional underground 'Darbazi'-houses (დარბაზი), known for their beautiful interior ceilings.
Inspired by Georgia, I wanted to create a direct connection to nature in the form of a nature chapel. The geometry of the nature chapel draws the eye towards the opening in the roof.
The roof opening is the primary light source, creating a poetic light and highlighting the geometry and reliefs.
The chapel stands on point foundations of large stones, allowing for air circulation.
